The Role of the Chief Executive
The chief executive is a crucial element for study in any case
study. The CEO is responsible for developing the
organisations strategy. It is his/her character which colours
and influences the organisation. It is necessary, therefore, to
look at the abilities, style and administrative competence of
the Chief Executive as these will be reflected in the
proposed management solutions and reasons for their
choice.
Strategy, structure and performance are under the remit of
the CEO. Examination of these areas in the case study must
be undertaken.
Additionally, the share price may be seen as a reflection of
how the investing public view the performance of the CEO
