However, his immediate priority Diagram 3 was to improve
distribution of the crisps in the UK, which were then stocked
in Waitrose, Sainsbury's and The Co-operative Group.
Milner thought that the premium crisps category was
becoming congested and predicted that it would be a
challenge to "keep a high quality of product among all market
entrants".
Milner had over twenty years’ experience in the food
industry, having held multinational roles in a variety of areas
from senior marketing and general management to strategy
and acquisitions.
Prior to joining Tyrrells, Milner was commercial director of
Baxters Soup. He is credited with leading Baxters' brand
revamp in August 2009. He also headed up Kettle Chips’
Australian arm.
