The company was taking the next step up in its strategy,
shifting from profitable growth to growth-based profit
generation. By developing a robust brand portfolio and
creating value beyond existing domains. It aimed to raise its
normalized operating profit margin to 10% by the year 2021
(See Appendix 8).
Kirin Group also recognized that to become a global leader
in CSV, it would be vital to raise awareness of the basic
concept and principles of CSV among employees, and
provide guidance so that they can perform their
responsibility of putting CSV into practice. Therefore, the
Group launched an educational campaign based on four
categories of activities: top management-led initiatives, job-
based initiatives, education and hands-on training
programs, and awards and promotional activities. (5) (See
