From the economic angle, the investment in
heritage conservation would attract more
tourists, which in turn would lead to a
spillover effect on the properties located in and
around the vicinity of the heritage site, which
would lead to further investment in tourism,
perhaps by the local communities thereby
gaining more economic prosperity. This would
also create more employment emanating from
the conservation and maintenance of the
heritage site.
ENVIRONMENTAL:
The global focus is now on understanding the
duty of warding off any potential scope of
irreparable change in the ecological system of
the earth. There is a lot of spotlight on
protocols viz., Kyoto aiming at conservation
of the environment, reducing the rate of global
warming, etc. Horrigan (2009) discovered the
approaches towards policies by the community
and government and discussed the ―green
rating metrics‖ for heritage properties. This
research also pointed out the scope of
conservation approaches, which can be applied
