- CHALLENGES TO SUSTAINABILITY:

The sustainability at heritage sites could be

very challenging due to the lack of resource to

preserve it. Moreover, the phenomenon of

oversaturation also leads to stained

infrastructure such as roads, buildings, etc.

Other challenges to sustainability includes

scale and speed of urbanization,

agglomerations, socioeconomic

fragmentations, health issues due to unsafe

drinking water, improper sewage facilities,

waste disposal issues, lack of waste recycle

policies, land development policies, etc.

- SUSTAINABILITY AND SUSTAINABLE

TOURISM AT HERITAGE SITES:

For achieving sustainability at heritage sites, it

is mandatory for every generation to pass on

the heritage assets to the forthcoming

generations with no or insignificant

differences in terms of size and quality which

was inherited from their ancestors. It must be

noted that it is difficult to reproduce the past

heritage assets and also the increase in visitor
