money, consider the potential for unresolved
issues. Without an impartial oversight body,
are you sure your appeals will be heard? Will
they be processed fairly, and if not, who can you
turn to? The answer very well may be no one.

      • Fewer Audits. Being certified to a globally
accepted standard should lessen the number
          of second-party customer audits. Certification
          from an accredited certification body
demonstrates commitment to food safety and
increases customer confidence. Over time and
with proven success with these accredited
certifications, customers will be more likely to
trust in companies and eliminate their request
          for additional audits.

      • Business Integrity. Accredited certification
bodies that audit to ISO and other standards
          follow established guidelines to maintain
          impartiality. Each standard includes guidelines
to determine the length of an audit, including
number of employees, number and complexity
of product lines, risk level of products, etc.
