PROJECT APPROACH
A Project Approach for
Interesting Times
The success of any design project is largely dependent on the people and
the process. Putting together the team, identifying the project goals and
objectives, brainstorming, testing design options for functionality and budget
responsiveness, preparing and communicating accurate information and
making timely decisions does not happen without a collaborative and collegial
approach endorsed by all stakeholders.
JGFGM’s project approach is tailored to
each client’s specific structure, culture, and
requirements through early discussions
with key stakeholders. However, given the
challenging circumstances occasioned by the
COVID-19 crisis, we offer some preliminary
thoughts on how the challenges of our current
circumstances might be mitigated. With
the possibility that social distancing could
be necessary during the early phases of the
project, these strategies and communication
tools would prove useful in promoting the
interaction and spirit of collaboration critical
to a successful project.
In the pages that follow we will share some
thoughts on the following issues:
• Project Team Structure
• Communication Tools
• JGFGM’s Learning Curve
• The Path Ahead
We will begin, however, with the end in mind.
That is, how we might enrich the Regents
School of Austin Community through these
projects.
