Coastline Show Chorus Tags and Swipes, Fall 2017

On May 24th we celebrated two longtime Sweet On June 3rd three quartets comprised of one half
Adeline singers who transitioned to the status of or of all members of Coastline participated in a
emeritus members. Basses Arlene Isaac and Rita National Cancer Survivors Day celebration of life
Dunlop contributed ringing notes and bright faces in Seekonk, MA, organized in part by Katie
for many years! We observed the installation of Donohue, a Coastline lead. The newly formed
officers to our Management Team. It’s wonderful Sing It To Me as well as the more experienced
to rely on both experienced and new volunteers to and medaling quartets Avant Garde and Wake the
keep our chorus vital and competitive. Neighbors presented quartet set lists and later
gathered on stage to lead the room of over 300
persons in song.

The esteemed Joe Connelly coached us in early
June and we look forward to working with him
again soon.

On July 29th we lost an integral member of
Coastline Show Chorus when Marianne Doyle
joined the heavenly choir. She was one of the
hardest working, omni-talented, most positive,
kind and talented women ever to sing on the CSC
risers. Her family has been consistently
supportive of the chorus for years and we were
honored to sing at the calling hours for Marianne
August 1st in Warwick, RI. She is tremendously
missed but her spirit of good voice and friendship
goes on.

We had a return engagement on Memorial Day at
Capron Park in Attleboro. There is always a
spirited parade, excellent attendance by local
citizens and talented speakers who have proven
an appreciative audience for us over the years.

The first week in June was VERY busy for
Coastline members. Regional medaling quartet
Wake the Neighbors, two longtime members plus
director Gail Jencik made an appearance on
WARA am radio on Domenic Cotoia’s show in
Attleboro. Gail and Mary Ellen spoke about the
Sweet Adelines organization and about the
chorus and WTN sang! It was a terrific show!
