From Our Regional Membership Director

Recognizing and assisting our current membership.

Every member is important. We all come together creating harmonies and friendships. Each individual has
their place on the risers or stage as well as in our hearts. You may have noticed we are doing more with
recognizing longevity at contest time; It is amazing we have 21 members with over 50 years
experience and another 14 that will be joining that club in the next 5 years! Thank you!

We also want to recognize our younger members as they begin this wonderful journey. Financially we
understand it can be challenging for both of these groups. Your Regional Executive Committee (Heidi,
Regional Education Director Wendy Davies, Regional Administrative Director and Deb, Regional
Membership Director) came up with a couple plans!

As our members join the ranks of the 50+ club the Region will waive their All Events Ticket price and in
the future years their ticket price will be cut in half! I feel it is important that they are able to enjoy the
Region’s continued successes.

We all feel that the future of our wonderful organization is our youth!

We also realize that jumping from 50% membership fees to 100% at age 26 comes at a period in many
young ladies lives when College loans are added to their budget as well as perhaps getting married; starting
a family and generally expensive changes in lifestyle. While I realize this one change is not a huge financial
savings in itself… I am hopeful that International dues as well as Region One Choruses may follow suit.

Thinking Region One could be a trend setter….

It is a start. Very simply saying we care about each of you! This will be come effective with the May 2018
Regional assessment. Please contact myself or Becky King if you have any questions.

Regional Assessment… Presently

$30.00………..Youth members 25 years or younger
$54.00………..members age 26 – 99
$0.00 ……….. 50 year Member who has completed 50 years of membership shall have the regional
assessment waived beginning with their 51st year.
CHANGED TO …. !!
$30.00………..Youth members 25 years or younger
$45.00………..Members aged 26 – 30 inclusive
$54.00………..members aged 31 and over
$0.00 ……….. 50 year Member who has completed 50 years of membership shall have the regional
assessment waived beginning with their 51st year.
