2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
2 cups white sugar
⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup buttermilk
2 large eggs eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 cup hot water

⅔ cup shortening
½ cup white sugar
⅓ cup milk
1 tablespoon water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

¼ teaspoon salt
½ cup confectioners' sugar

Directions

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease two 12-cup

muffin tins.
