Wheel Hub Bearing Unit extraction with the aid of puller KL-0041-38

The problem with the extraction:

Very high pulling forces need to be applied in order to extract wheel hub
bearing units that are equipped with a snap ring.
The resistance of this safety snap ring needs to be overcome when removing
the bearing unit, which will prove to be an even more difficult task in case of
rust and corrosion. This also means that when extracting the wheel bearing,
the locking teeth break and the snap ring is destroyed.
Due to the high tensile force that needs to be applied, standard wheel bearing
pulling devices with a mechanical spindle are not suitable to perform this task.
