WHY I WRITE THIS eBook

I write this eBook from personal experience and out of concern for the teeming
population of job seekers who actively chase the few or non-existent jobs. We live in a

time of global rise in unemployment – a critical concern for everyone. Unemployment

statistics skyrockets daily as schools and colleges churn out graduates and other new
               entrants into the labour market.

According to www.countryeconomy.com, presently, unemployment rates stands at
23.10% in Nigeria, 3.85% in the UK, 3.6% in USA, 3.2% in Germany, 2.5% in Japan, 1.9%

in Czech Republic, and 27.6% in South Africa. The burden of unemployment is worse in
developing countries and is still a major reason for youth unrest. In these countries,

regardless of your qualifications, you are unlikely to get a job if you cannot pay your way
through or know someone who can push your interest. The jobs are extremely

competitive, only a few percentages of qualified applicants get jobs on merit. The worst
thing is that the schools do not teach students how to get into paid employment. Mostly,

graduates and other school leavers learn the hard way.

Most job seekers do not know how to write a simple CV, cover letter, or attend job

interviews. They do not know how to job hunt. This is another reason for the several
years of waiting for job post-graduation. It is therefore very essential that someone talks

about these things so that everyone who needs the knowledge can get it.

I write this eBook with the intent that prospective job applicants can get the basic

requisite knowledge for job hunting. It is an eye opener to the things every employer is
looking for in a prospective employee, the necessary documents that market a job

seeker’s skills and competencies to an employer in an attractive manner, how to prepare
and present these documents, other motivational titbits and guide for those who want to

be self-employed or start a personal business.

The content of this eBook is apt, prompt, instructive and motivational. It can end your

tale of several job applications rejections and failure in employment interviews. Anyone

who reads, understands, and follows the suggestions in this eBook is assuredly set on a
               path to exit unemployment.
