5.3 SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

The following safety requirements shall be strictly followed at the biomining site:-
 No unauthorized entry of men, material and vehicles

 Adequate provisions for controlling flies
 No smoking zone

 Use of personal protective equipments shall be mandatory
 The site or processing may cover with GI sheets to avoid the view of processing to
the residents. This cover can be removed once the site gets clear.
5.4 PROJECT TIMELINE
The capacity of the machineries installed shall be capable of processing 400 TPH of
legacy waste. Considering, work to be in shift of eight hours per day, total legacy
waste processed per day shall be 1600 TPD. The quantity of legacy waste in
Rishikesh is 271919 cu.m. Considering the density of waste to be 1 tonne per cu.m,
the total weight of waste is 27919 tonnes. The total time required for biomining should
be 167 days i.e. approximately 5-6 months. The time required for biomining can be
reduced by increasing the capacity of the processing machinery.
