Allāh SWT says:
“Corruption has appeared throughout the land and sea by [reason of] what
the hands of people have earned so He may let them taste part of [the consequence
of] what they have done that perhaps they will return [to righteousness]”.
(ar-Rum 30: 41)
On the contrary Qur’ān clarifies man is entrusted with the role of
khilāfah, whose responsibility to administer the world for the benefit
of the whole creature.
Allāh SWT says:
[We said], “O David, indeed We have made you a successor upon the earth,
so judge between the people in truth and do not follow [your own] desire,
as it will lead you astray from the way of Allāh SWT. Indeed, those who go
astray from the way of Allāh SWT will have a severe punishment for having
forgotten the Day of Account”.
(Ṣād 38: 26)
