Once you have logged in, your default view will open up on the following screen:
This is your “Task View” and should be the first thing you look at in the morning. This screen shows you tasks that have
been started by you, assigned to you or that require action. The grid view can sort the tasks according to the relevant
headings and can also be grouped by these headings by dragging them into the shaded area. From this screen, you can
identify any particular tasks that need to be actioned immediately.
Let’s take a close look at the various menu toolbar options and the various other toolbars:
- At the very top of the application, you will find the following menu toolbars:
o File
o Process
o Campaigns
o Reporting
o Setup
o Help
o Favourite
- The setup menu will be completely greyed out, as well as a few of the individual menu items within each of the
above toolbars – these are items which can cause issues within the CRM database and therefore have been
removed;
- Please click on the various toolbars to investigate the various options – each menu will be covered under the
relevant section;
- On the left-hand side, there is a navigation toolbar, similarly to the way Outlook has a navigation toolbar and works
on the same basis;
- The majority of the screen is the working area and is where you will find the relevant information.
Furthermore, the list below details some of the functionality which will be monitored wholly through CRM and will no longer
be performed through Pastel:
- The customer age analysis will be maintained using CRM only to ensure that all users are working from the same
information and the same layout;
- Specific tasks have been setup which will form the basis of tracking information in the system. These tasks are
there to speed up the debt recovery process and maintain a single database of all the customer communication;
- New or reviewed credit applications will also be tracked through CRM by creating a task for all new applications as
well as setting up reminders for when an existing application needs to be reviewed;
