- Looking up customer information, invoices, products, etc. more efficiently. CRM allows you to find the relevant
information a customer is looking for while you are on the phone with them with much easier to navigate screens
with customisable headings;
- Tasks related to sales – i.e. following up on quotations, customer trials, customer appointments and queries, etc.;
- Creating, editing and following up on quotations – known as a “Sales Opportunity” within CRM.
The above are some of the advantages and more will be added as they are rolled out. The important thing to remember is
that information is only relevant if you include all the relevant information. The more accurately you record information,
the more accurate and meaningful the information will be to you later.
CUSTOMER NAVIGATION MENU
CRM has a wide variety of customer related functions which range from displaying all invoices to a particular customer for
a specified period to quickly editing customer details and viewing the various products that are sold to them. The full
functionality will be set out in the below sections.
CUSTOMER INFORMATION SCREEN:
Let’s start by clicking on the “customers” button on navigation toolbar, the following screen will appear:
On the top, left-hand side of the screen, you will see a list of your entire customer base. You can search this list in the
following ways:
- Clicking in the code column (on any of the customer codes), and typing the customer code;
- Clicking in the description column and typing the customer name (this will search for the string of text that you
have typed in the entire database);
- Using the filter options at the top of the screen;
- Wherever you see the below icon – clicking on it will remove all previous filters or sort options on headings or
layouts to the default view.
Please click on any particular customer that you would like to work on, by simply searching for the customer and then
clicking on it.
TIP – If you searched for your customer by typing their name and that customer is highlighted, then you
already have that customer selected and do not need to click on it.
