- If you do not see the full product listing, click on the clear filter button;
- This grid works similarly to previous grids, if you click within the item code or details column and start typing, it
will automatically start searching within the entire range;
- Double click on the item to select it;
- NOTE – The following codes must be used in the following instances:
o 00CONS00 – This code to be used when we are bringing in a consumable item specifically for the customer
and we do not yet have the stock code listed;
o 06MAN00 – This code to be used when quoting on manufacturing items (NB – The manufacturing codes
are constantly changing – therefore we use a generic code until we know which physical code to be used);
o 06REP00 – This code to be used when quoting on repair items (NB – The repair codes are constantly
changing – therefore we use a generic code until we know which physical code to be used).
TIP – Searching by typing in the item code or details columns is the quickest way to find the relevant code
you are looking for.
- Once you have selected the item, it will bring up the latest sales price and cost price for that item (excluding the
generic codes as per above – these will need to be manually inputted);
- To add a comment, click on the “Add multiple remark lines”, this allows unlimited comments to be added to the
line without being restricted to Pastel’s limit;
TIP – Make sure that your comment is complete and that you have self-reviewed the contents thereof before
clicking on OK, otherwise you will need to go into the respective lines to change this if you need to do so at a
later stage – as it splits the comments over multiple lines to suit Pastel’s limit.
- To add additional lines, simply click on the “add line” button;
- Once all necessary lines are completed, click on the “Print Details” button to preview the quote;
- The final quotation will now appear on your screen, in the top left hand corner there is an export to PDF button
(acrobat sign), click on this button to export the quotation to PDF;
- You will be prompted for PDF settings, click on OK and then choose where to save the relevant file. The correct
way to save the quotation is as follows:
o QCT00011 CUSTOMER NAME 11Apr17;
o For remote desktop users – you will need to copy this file to your local desktop in order to send to the
customer;
o For local users, you are able to save this to your desktop and email it from there (KZN & ENG)
- Once you have saved the file, this needs to be emailed to the customer and CC your Sales Manager (please also
include the Group FM until instructed otherwise);
