                                           POWER-INVISIBLE BUT REAL
                                          PART ONE- MAGNETIC POWER

        Truth to Teach (Source)

The attracting power of a magnet on iron is a reflection of the drawing power of a loving God on
              a responsive heart.
                   • Some materials are magnetic, while others are not.
                   • Magnetic metals contain iron.
                   • Magnetism can work through some materials, but not others.
                   • Magnets can be useful as well as fun.

        Learning for Life (Fulfilment)

              1. For the children to experience the reality of magnetic power, which although
invisible, can be felt and its effect on materials can be clearly observed.

              2. For the children to begin to appreciate that all power comes from God, and that

magnetic power simply illustrates the drawing power of His love.

                     3. For the children to see how magnets are used in life today.

        Way to Work (Means)

Whole class lessons, experiments in small groups and individual work.

                      Week 1 Introducing magnets

                      Week 2 Magnetic materials

Week 3 Working through different materials

                                             PART TWO – ELECTRICITY

        Truth to Teach (Source)

Just as electric power, when rightly connected, flows from a source, enabling things to work, so
God alone is our source of power for life, as we keep in touch with Him.

        Learning for Life (Fulfilment)

              1. For the children to observe how electricity flows around a circuit and to learn how to
                         construct simple circuits themselves.
