1. ROC updates:
• Maziar spoke about impact assessment from JAWW to help better track the life cycle of all
involved in JA programs
• Maziar shared that the last AP board meeting went well. The efforts of the region under the
challenging circumstances of 2020 were well-received. The issue was also raised about involving
our JA members more prominently at regional board meetings. This was enthusiastically embraced
by the board. There is also a desire to create greater transparency going forward in terms of
involving our members in conversations with sponsors.
• Adrian mentioned the learning experience working group and referenced the email he sent out on
this. Common standards on company program to be shared.
• The “impact meter” is a new internal method being rolled out by JAWW. This will include capturing
learning experiences such as new categories of information to create a more holistic view of how
members are creating impact. The ROC will be seeking feedback and input from the AP members.
• There is a new platform (Power Apps) to replace HEWITT. One of its benefits is that it allows one
to look at and compare data from previous years all in one place (since Hewitt’s inception nine
years ago). Power Apps will also be more user-friendly. The “Power BI” function allows for real-
time reporting with information displayed in graphs, charts, and infographics. JAWW will provide
training on how to use the platform starting in January 2021.
