Sponsorship proposals

This section covers information to develop a sponsorship proposal and service
                  sponsors throughout a contracted period.

                  What is sports sponsorship?
                  Consider 2 critical factors:
                  1. A method exists for using your club/federation to achieve the commercial
                    objectives of the sponsor
                  2. Always think of sponsorship as a mutually beneficial business arrangement.
Both parties must benefit, not just your club/federation.

                           Activity 3.13

Does your club/federation have any sponsors? If so, why do you think they are
involved and what benefits does this relationship bring to them? If your club/
federation does not have any sponsors, why do you think this is the case?

                  Sponsorship fundamentals
Small sporting clubs/federations and large multinational corporations are involved
in sport sponsorship. One of the strengths of sport sponsorship as a business
arrangement is its ability to be able to suit the needs of large or small groups.
Companies have found ways to tailor their involvement in sport to fit their needs
                  and budgets.

Companies can also choose to sponsor an event at a local, regional, state,
                  national or international level.
