3  Organization History & Description


                   3.1  Organization Description

                   The Office of the Guam National Olympic Committees delivers; guidance, technical and administrative
                   assistance to Guam recognized National Federations.


                   3.1.1  Vision Statement

                   To promote Olympic Values in our endeavors to assist our National Federations and our athletes in the pursuit of
                   excellence, inclusion, peace and environmental sustainability through sport in the Olympic Games and in country.


                   3.1.2  Mission Statement

                   To strengthen the infrastructure of GNOC and its National Federations through Sports Development, Education and
                   Competition, sport equity by inclusion and the pursuit of peace and sustainability through sport, with and in cooperation
                   with all our stakeholders.

                   3.2  Facilities & Location

                   The GNOC Office is located in Maite, Guam.

                   3.3  Organization Chart

                   For a diagrammatic representation of the Organizational Structure of the GNOC Office (Please refer
                   to Appendix A - a soft copy of this form is available on our website).

                   Senior staff report to the Executive Board through the Secretary General.

                   Under his direction they are expected to exercise judgment in the implementation and development of
                   their program areas.

                   Appropriate authority is designated to senior staff within agreed guidelines to allow approved programs
                   and projects to be accomplished.


                   3.4  Values


                       •  Acknowledgment of the need to develop sport in accordance with the spirit of Olympism as
                          prescribed by the International Olympic Committee.
