For our qualitative part of our experiment, we were able to interview four students,
two from grades ten and eleven. All four of the students preferred Instagram over
Facebook, and the answers that they gave were similar to the responses that we
received from the survey. They preferred it due to Instagram’s uncomplicated uses,
its different features that made it convenient to share their lifestyle and
communicate with their peers.
4. Discussion:
We concluded that Instagram was more popular than Facebook amongst SKIS high
school students. The results of the survey were as follows. More than ¾ of the
respondents answered to preferring Instagram over Facebook. Although our
hypothesis was that Instagram was indeed more popular than Facebook in SKIS,
we were surprised by our results.
Initially, we thought that since most of the students at SKIS had been living in
Korea for a long time, they would prefer Facebook over Instagram. However, the
