Ray does a good draw to take the end. Unfortunately with not enough ends the game
32
was over. Congratulations to Matt Frost for winning the title for the 3rd year in a row.
Norfolk County Squad Pairs
Norfolk County Squad Pairs
Squad Pairs tournament was held at Wortwell and a very good day had by all. The competition
is always played in good sprits and is used to help the running of the county team. This year
had a good amount of interest from outside of Norfolk. The day ran well with the final coming
down to two teams from Cambridgeshire. Maureen and Barry Vs Colin and Beryl. It all came
down to the last end with Colin and Beryl having the upper hand and going on to win the game.
Congratulations to both teams.

Fours
The Norfolk fours competition
was held at Wortwell but only
15 teams entered this year’s
competition meaning that they
had been divided in to 3 groups
of 5 with the winners and 1
highest runner-Up going in to
the Knock outs.
Reepham Robins won
Group 1, Wortwell won Group
Norfolk Fours Winners Brockdish 2 and with 3 teams on 6 points
in Group 3 it was Brockdish
that came out winners in that group. It was no surprise that the highest runner-up came from
group 3 with Antingham just missing out topping the group by 2 shots and Roydon a further 6
shots back from them.
The Semi-Finals lined
up with Reepham taking on
Brockdish and Wortwell tak-
ing on Antingham.
Both semi-finals were
very close and well battled
through out with Brockdish
managing to over come
Reepham with the last bowl
winning 6-5. In the other
semi-final Antingham man-
aged to hold on and pip
Wortwell 6-4 with the last Norfolk Fours Finalists Antingham
wood making sure that they
were off to the final.
After meeting already in the day Brockdish would once
again take on Antingham. With a very poor carpet and only 1 side
really being able to be played it was Brockdish that took an early
start to the game with Antingham struggling with the pace of the
carpet. The first 3 ends going the way of Brockdish and them
having a 4-0 lead.
Antingham finally started to pick up the pace and
started the fight back with Joy managing to get on and Brockdish
not able to more it on the next end 4-1.
