North of the Kong Fu, about 2 kin up
Lindao Lu is the Kong Lin, the largest
artificial preserved cemetery in
China. This timeworn route has a
kind of 'spirit way' lined with ancient
cypresses.
To reach the forest takes about 30
minutes by foot, 15 minutes by
pedicab, or you can attempt to catch
the infrequent bus No 1. On the way,
look into the Yanhui Miao (Yanhui
Temple-Y5), which is off to the right
and has a spectacular dragon head
embedded in the ceiling of the main
hall, plus a pottery collection.
