In Bangladesh, one of UNESCO’s ongoing MIL interventions is the training and support of community radio

stations to enhance their media and information literacy skills as well as to empower rural populations in all
parts of Bangladesh through enhanced MIL skills.

On behalf of UNESCO, I would like to extend my sincerest appreciation to the Department of Information
Studies and Library Management at East West University for organizing this year’s MIL Week with a series
of online events, webinars, an online quiz competition, as well as with this souvenir publication.

We are grateful to the Department of Information Studies and Library Management at East West University

for its continued dedication and support in the advancement of Media and Information Literacy in
Bangladesh for all.
