MACCABI FC CAULFIELD - REPORT
President: Kevin Milstein
Season 2021 saw Maccabi FC Caulfield field 30 teams, from U8
to senior women, every week in the Football Victoria fixtures.
That is the largest number of teams that the club has ever housed.
It is the first time ever that we have had six U8 boys teams on the field.
Our girls teams too have never seen such huge numbers before.
It seems that our planned-out pathway to the senior women’s team is starting to
be accepted and work the way we wanted it to.
Of course, that is not including the Maccabi Little Strikers of which there are over
100 five to seven year olds. As well as our over 50’s Walking Footballer and now
also the SNAPP program for autistic families.
So in short the numbers were phenomenal this year. It’s such a pity that every-
thing came to an abrupt halt with 1/3 of the season still left to play.
It will be interesting to see if the level of interest carries on post-lockdown in
season 2022.
This year we also a had number of new young and exciting coaches join the
ranks, which bodes well for the future. As well as dedicated staff that we cannot
do without.
I feel that the worst of Covid is behind us now and that 2022 will only bring more
surprises on the field at Caulfield Park.
Thank you to all of our members for sticking with us during these tough times.
The future for Maccabi FC Caulfield is looking bright.
