VICTORIA MACCABI SNOOKER CLUB - REPORT

Our season this year commenced with only 48 members, male
and female from ages 19 to 80. Since the club was forced to move
from Kings Entertainment centre nearly 3 seasons ago our club
had to find new premises to continue playing. We were forced into using two
venues which could not fully accommodate all members and, we had several
members retire and change codes.

This year again one of our venues was closing and we have now re located. Taken
all that into consideration we have a very strong committee who have held the club
together.

Our current playing venues are Cue 8 Bar in Clayton & The Bentleigh Club.

We still currently run a number of in-house competitions, including our Victorian
Jewish Open Snooker & 8Ball. In previous years we have struggled to get
participants, however this year has been successful with entries and we are
hoping for some outstanding results.

We have 2 teams entered in the Victorian Billiards & Snooker Association
representing Maccabi in Snooker Pennant & 2 teams entered into Dandenong
District Pool League also representing Maccabi in 8Ball Pennant. These teams are
made up of both male & female members of our club.

The highlight of our year is our end of year function. This was attended last year with
over 100 guests at the Bentleigh club with a sit-down dinner and our trophy awards.
