MACCABI TABLE TENNIS - REPORT
                               President: Mark Levin
Maccabi Table Tennis Club continued its strong progress and
membership numbers throughout 2021. It has been a severely
interrupted year for all our competitions with plenty of false starts
and cancellations. The Table Tennis Club has built on its base at
Phoenix Park in Malvern East with encouraging attendance figures and
competition on both Monday and Thursday evenings. The club has developed its
                  coaching and social play offerings.
Maccabi Table Tennis entered 7 teams in the Table Tennis Victoria Pennant
competition at MSAC. Maccabi had 30 players competing in Division 2 all the way
through to Division 6. We had 2 teams finishing runners-up. The Division 3 team of
Dean Frenkel, Mark Freedman, Jack Cyngler and Sam Parasol & the Division 5
team of Boris Burd, Harold Shafer, John Cukier & Les Lesman.
This year we had 3 generations of the Freedman family playing pennant for
                  Maccabi at MSAC.
Shamir Freedman, one of Maccabi's top junior players, played in Division 4 and is
in Year 7 at Mount Scopus. Shamir's father Ilan who played Division 3 and
Shamir's grandfather Mark who also played in Division 3.
Aaron Patishman who is Maccabi's top junior player, plays in Division 4 for
Maccabi at MSAC and is in Year 9 at Bialik College, was accepted to compete at
the TTA Tour National Event Series.
We look forward to continued membership growth and club championships during
                  2022.
