AJAX SWIMMING CLUB - REPORT

The multiple lockdowns have significantly affected the regular pool swimming
activities of our club and we look forward to returning to the Bialik College pool this
summer after the most recent long lockdown. The Open Water Swimming group
have fortunately been able to continue swimming in the Bay without restriction
(other than that of travel restrictions from your home).
By far the most significant event this past year has been the creation of Maccabi
Aquatics, an initiative spearheaded by two of the Club Committee, namely, Mark
Roseman and Clive Aaron. Maccabi Aquatics becomes operational in Oct-Nov
2021 and has a full service offering from Learn-to-Swim to elite competitive squad
swimming and will be based at the Bialik College Gringlas Sports Centre.
The Club looks forward to supporting this initiative in every way possible given the
significance of the impact this will have on the future of Maccabi swimmers.
