COMMUNICATION OBJECTIVES


                   To increase the proportion of people who know where and when to register for ITNs receipt.


                   To increase the proportion of people who intend to keep their coupons received during household

                   registration and use it during net issuing.
                   To increase the proportion of people who know where, when and how to obtain ITNs through mass

                   replacement campaign.

                   To increase the proportion of people who believe that an ITN is effective and safe for use.

                   To increase the proportion of people who believe that ITNs prevents nuisance bugs that can

                   disturb sleep

                   To increase the proportion of people who believe that they are at risk of malaria.

                   To increase the proportion of people who intend to hang and use their ITNs


                   Promote other malaria preventive methods e.g. bio-larviciding and encourage community

                   involvement and participation.
                   Encourage appropriate treatment seeking behavior amongst the population at risk of all age groups.


                   Create and sustain demand for the recommended malaria testing and treatment services for all suspect

                   malaria patients and in all settings in both public and private facilities .
                   Empowerment of communities to take collective ownership of malaria prevention and care.
