Our engagement at this phase ensured we gained government support and required permits for the
aligned activities implementation from the respective Regional / District Executive office and paved a way
for initiation of communication with the Local Government Authorities (Ward Executive Officers, Village
Executive Officers) through attainment of their respective contacts from the Municipal Database. i.e.
SAIMAL additionally leveraged on a network of LGAs that have forged relationships with over the course of
implementation of past SBCC campaigns in the designated campaign Regions. Through this engagement,
Social Groups were engaged, that constitute the campaign’s age appropriate targeted audiences.
Alignment with the activating Regional and District Focal Persons for respective supported priority
behaviours on the agreed project milestones and implementation plan was also done at this phase. The
aligned road maps were then shared with Ward Executive Officers (WEO’s), Community Leaders and other
key implementing partners to ensure all were informed of the planned ‘Targeted Replacement Campaign’
Integrated SBCC Mid Media activities for their respective areas.
During Courtesy Call Meetings, all stipulated guidelines for the control or prevention of the spread of
COVID-19 were adhered & CENSUS messages were kept in consideration.
