The $1.5bn Burj Khalifa Project in Dubai - UAE, is currently the tallest building in the world and
is constructed within the down town area of Dubai off Sheikh Zayed Road and represented by
EMAAR Properties. The project is composed of a single tower development with 160 usable levels
of varying floor plate sizes. The total usable built area of the development is approximately
1,643,000 square meters. The electrical Total Connected Load (TCL) of the project is around 72
MW. The tower block includes 3 areas of podium A, B & C extending across 4 levels, a four-level
pool annex, tower west wing, tower central core, tower south wing, tower east wing and a nine-
level office annex. Each wing of the tower including the central core area is composed of an
Armani hotel with associated hotel apartments and guestrooms, boutique retail areas and
residential apartments. The development is serviced by two entire levels of underground car
parks which cover the entire foundation plan of the building.
