Muffaletta

                                         Sandwich

                                  (From Robert (Buffalo Bob) Muffaletta)

                                         Ingredients

               ¼ cup black olives
               ¼ cup green olives
               ¼ cup pimentos
               ¼ cup capers
               ¼ cup cocktail onions
               ¼ cup chopped celery
               1 small can artichoke hearts
               1 tsp celery seed
               1tsps oregano
               1 tsp minced garlic
               ½ cup olive oil
               2 tsp red wine vinegar
               1 loaf round Italian or French bread
               2 tsp olive oil
               ¼ lb smoked ham or prosciutto
               ¼ lb Genoa Salami
               ¼ lb provolone cheese
               ¼ lb Mortadella (Italian Bologna)
               Mozzarella cheese

               First make the olive salad by putting all the ingredients into a food processor
               and chop coarsely. Set aside

               Slice all the meats and cheeses very thin

               Split the bread and drizzle the olive oil on each side.  On the bottom layer
               spread a generous portion of the olive salad and arrange the layers of thinly
               sliced meats and cheeses. I have found that pizza dough bakes up in to nice
               puffy rounds of bread that are perfect for this sandwich.

               Cover the top with the other bread half and serve
