Southwest

                                      Stroganoff

                                         Ingredients

1 ½ lbs top sirloin sliced very thin
               1 medium onion
2 cans chopped jalapenos or green peppers
               1 tbsp minced garlic
               1 can beef broth
1 container sour cream or Mexican Cream Fraise
               Cooked egg noodles or rice
               White wine
               Salt and pepper

                                          Lagniappe

Cook down the sirloin strips in butter till done, add in the jalapenos or chilies
and garlic, cook with the meat for a few minutes.

The jalapenos will lose much of their heat with cooking; the green peppers
are not that hot to start with.

Add in the beef broth, sour cream and wine; simmer while the pasta is
cooking. This dish is also great served over cooked rice.

Serve with pickled hot carrots & onions on the side

For that southwestern flavor cook the pasta or rice with a teaspoon of cumin
               seeds

For more conventional stroganoff add a can of mushroom soup and 2 cans of
               sliced mushrooms.
