                                   Toad in a hole



                                            Ingredients


               1 lb sausage
               1 ¾ cup of flour
               1 tsp salt
               4 eggs (beaten)
               2 cups milk

                                            Lagniappe



               Brown the sausage and set aside.

                Mix together the eggs and milk.

                In another bowl mix the flour and salt and add the mixture to the milk
               mixture.  Beat the mixture till it is thick like ice cream.

                Pour the sausage along with about two tbsp of the grease into the bottom of
               a baking pan and cover with the egg and flour mix.

               Bake at 450 for 15 minutes, reduce heat to 350 and bake another 20 minutes.

               Serve with brown or cream gravy.
