Conley sauce
Ingredients
1 gal catsup
2 bottle 16 oz yellow mustard
2 cup apple cider vinegar
1 large yellow onion (chopped fine)
1 clove of chopped garlic
1- 4 oz bottle liquid smoke
1 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp cinnamon
2 sticks butter
3 habanera peppers (chopped fine)
3 tbsp red pepper flakes
2 tsp black pepper
Lagniappe
Over low heat mix butter, liquid smoke, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar and
cinnamon, stir till sugar has liquidized, add the onion, garlic and peppers.
Turn heat to medium for about 10 minutes stirring often. Add remaining
ingredients and bring to a boil for about 15 minutes, simmer for another 30
minutes let cool and bottle
