“Chigger” sauce
Ingredients
1 gallon cider vinegar
1 bottle catsup
2 tbsp celery sauce
2 tbsp onion salt
1 bottle Heinz 57 steak sauce
3 tbsp red pepper
1 tbsp black pepper
½ cup brown sugar
1 tbsp paprika
Lagniappe
Mix all ingredients together in a large pot.
Boil for 5 minutes
Simmer for 30 minutes longer
Store in glass or plastic containers with plastic lids
Flavor gets better the longer it is aged
(Celery sauce is just celery cooked in butter)
