                                 “Naked” Rib- rub

                                       (I actually bought this recipe)

                                         Ingredients


               1 Cup Brown Sugar
               1/2 cup Paprika
               21/2 tbsp black pepper
               11/2 tsp Chili Powder
               11/2 tbsp Garlic Powder
               11/2 tbsp Onion Powder
               1 tsp cayenne pepper
               2 tbsp Kosher Salt
                                         Lagniappe


               In a small dish, measure out the Brown Sugar and Paprika.  Make sure there
               are no lumps and the sugar and paprika are mixed evenly

               Once the mixture is smooth, continue to add 1 ingredient at a time mixing
               and removing any lumps before going on.

               Makes about 2 cups (enough to do about 6 slabs of ribs)

               Lay your meat on a baking pan and coat with Prepared Mustard before
               adding the Rub.  This helps it stick to the meat and the Mustard taste goes
               away with smoking.

               Place the Rubbed meat in a covered container (or zip lock bag) and let stand
               overnight in the refrigerator.

               Place meat side up in the smoker and use the 3-2-1 method at 225’ for 5 to 6
               hours

               You will probably not need any sauce when you serve.  This Rub works great
               on Tri-Tip, Ribs, or pork Loin.
