5. Dress this knot and pull it tight. At this point you have
completed the first half of this knot.
6. Now it’s time to repeat the process on the other length
of rope. Cross the working end that is on the left over
the standing part. Make a wrap around this standing part
by passing the working end behind this standing part. At
the completion of this step, the working end will be fac-
ing downwards. This is illustrated in figure 22e. You’ll see
that you’ve created a wrap around the standing part.and
the place where the wrap is now lying looks like the let-
ter “x.”
