Did your group members and you follow the rules of ‘collaboration’?

Did everyone in the group get a chance to give their ideas?

How did you feel (a) when your ideas were used? (b) when they were ignored?

Collaboration is best when no one knows whose idea it is because everyone
believes that the idea came out from the group and feels good about it.

Exercise and Discuss:

Make two teams to play ‘Dog and the Bone’. Assign a number to each team member. The
same numbers will be assigned to the opponent team but no team should know how the
other team has assigned the numbers. When the facilitator calls out a number, the team
member from each team, who was allotted that number, will rush to pick the handkerchief

kept in the middle of the circle. The person who picks the handkerchief first and reaches
his/her team without getting caught by his/her counterpart, wins.

In groups of four, discuss what you think of the exercise or the game while asking each other
the questions given below:

How did you feel when you lost? Did your team make you feel bad?
(Use ‘feeling words’ vocabulary)

What are some of the things that the team should do or say to support its members?

What are some of the things that the team should not do or say to its members?
