Beginning:

Believe it or not!

These are a few discriminatory
restrictions on women’s rights

around the world.

In USA, many years ago, women 'NO RIGHTS'
were not allowed to vote.

Till recently, in India, women
passengers on two wheelers were
excused from wearing helmets, even
though, thousands of women die in
road accidents in our country.

Discuss:
1. What do you think about these rules?

2. Do you know of some discriminatory rules in other countries?

3. Do you know of similar rules in your community?

4. Who do you think makes these rules? Are they made by men or women?

5. Why do you think such rules are made by some countries and
communities?

The gender symbols for male and female stand for the planets Mars and Venus
respectively. They are also symbols for the metals, iron and copper, respectively.
