Day 5: "Lines Drawn"

Scene:
Javi stands in a dimly lit alley in Sector 9, waiting. His nerves are on edge, knowing that his decision to
help Gelia and Abigaile has put him on a collision course with the government—and with Lleona. Just
as he’s about to leave, Gelia appears from the shadows, her expression tense. Abigaile follows close
behind, holding her mother’s hand. Javi’s heart sinks as he sees the fear in their eyes.

Gelia: (in a low voice)
"Are you sure about this? You’re risking everything."

Javi: (nodding, his voice firm)
"I’ve made my choice. I’m not turning back now. We need to get you both out of here, but it won’t be
easy."
Abigaile tugs at Javi’s sleeve, looking up at him with wide eyes.

Abigaile:
"Where will we go? Will we be safe?"

Javi crouches down to her level, trying to smile despite the dread gnawing at him.

Javi:
"I’ll make sure of it, okay? You’re going to be safe. I won’t let anything happen to you."

Gelia watches the exchange, her face softening for a moment, but then she glances around nervously.

Gelia:
"You can’t stay with us, Javi. You know they’ll come after you too if they find out what you’re doing."

Before Javi can respond, they hear footsteps approaching. Javi quickly pulls them both behind a stack
of crates, his hand instinctively moving to his gun. A figure steps into view—it’s Lleona. She’s scanning
the area, her expression cold and unreadable.
