Javi: (softly)
"I know. I’ve seen it. I’ve seen how people change after they take the serum. It’s like... they’re not even
themselves anymore. Just frozen in time, pretending everything’s fine. But it’s not."
Gelia:
"And yet you’re still here, wearing that uniform. Still enforcing their rules."
Javi looks down at his uniform, the symbol of the government stitched into the fabric. It feels like a
brand, marking him as part of the very machine he’s beginning to despise.
Javi: (quietly)
"I don’t know how to stop. This uniform, this job... it’s all I’ve ever known. But I don’t want to do this
anymore. I don’t want to keep killing people for the sake of some twisted ideology."
Gelia watches him, her expression softening slightly. For the first time, she sees the conflict within him,
the guilt that’s been eating away at him.
Gelia:
"You could leave, you know. You could walk away from all of it. But that’s not the hard part. The hard
part is knowing that leaving means standing against them. And that’s dangerous."
Javi:
"Dangerous? I’ve been on the dangerous side for years, Gelia. I’ve seen what happens to people who
defy the government. But maybe... maybe it’s time someone did something about it."
Gelia shakes her head, her voice tinged with fear.
Gelia:
"Talking like that will get you killed. You think you’re the first to question things? The government has
ears everywhere. The moment they catch wind that someone’s trying to rebel, they make sure no one
ever hears from them again."
Javi clenches his fists, the frustration building inside him. He knows what she’s saying is true, but he
can’t shake the feeling that something needs to change.
Javi:
"I can’t keep living like this. I can’t keep pretending that what I’m doing is right. I don’t care if it’s
dangerous. I’ve already crossed a line by letting you go. There’s no turning back now."
