DAY125
A PROMISING EYE EXAM
Alyssa had another follow-up eye exam today and the report
continues to be very positive – the detected ROP is minor and
located on the outer edge of the retina – and should resolve
itself as she continues to grow.
Heidi was given the green light today to “breastfeed on
demand” (as often and as much as Alyssa craves it) and Alyssa
responded very well to the newfound freedom. She was
much less irritable, but now knows a good thing when she has
it! Heidi sent me this text: “She is SPOILED, she only wants
Mommy and Daddy – NOT nurses”. But, then again, that too is
a GOOD THING.
Hopefully, these are the last pictures that you will see Alyssa
with a tube taped beneath her nose. The Nasal Canula was
removed today.
Alyssa has made a lot of progress – IT WAS A VERY GOOD DAY!
