DAY126
A WONDERFUL DAY
I spent a wonderful day with Heidi and Alyssa. Alyssa didn’t
spend very much time in her crib at all today because either
Heidi was feeding her or I was holding her. She likes my
shoulder!
Her heart rate and blood pressure were much better. The
Surgical Team removed the central IV line that had been
inserted into the aorta at her thigh – they no longer need it
since Alyssa was doing well on full feeds.
Without the IV line, she would now have to take her
medication and vitamins orally. So, I got to feed her a very
strange concoction of liquids with a little milk to kill the taste.
It smelled horrible, but she drank it straight down and then fell
asleep.
One of the doctors gave Heidi several “Outpatient” drug
prescriptions for Alyssa this afternoon. WHAT DO YOU
SUPPOSE THAT MIGHT MEAN?
Lord, we anxiously await our homecoming for Alyssa. It
appears that we are getting very close to that anticipated day
once again. We pray that You would guard and protect her from
any further complications so that the joyous day that we have
all been praying for will come very soon now. Thank you for
watching over her and for healing her.
