Cassidy Straub/ Troop 1078
Cassidy is a true leader in our troop. She inspires the other girls
to participate and enjoy Girl Scouts as much as she does. She
is active in the community and always goes above and beyond
with her ideas and creativity. She and her troop have completed
the Bronze Award and are working on the Silver. She already has
ideas for Gold!

Golden Trefoil Group “A”
Golden Trefoil Group “A” will be 40 years old in 2014. It started
when Virginia Mylar spent a year in Australia and brought
back an information booklet about the Trefoil Committee of
Girl Guides, a group of former guiders who got together to
aid Girl Guide Activities. She told some Euclid scout leaders
about it and Golden Trefoil Troop was born. We believe this
was the frst troop of former leaders to be formed here. The
ladies responsible for its start were: Pat Jarchow, Gerry Peak
Dieckmann, and Ethel Rose. We have grown and prospered
these nearly 40 years, raising money to help GS troop leaders
get started and aiding girls to get camperships and wider
opportunities. We worked during the year making crafts to sell
at our annual Luncheon-Bazaar every fall. We celebrated our
25th Anniversary in 2000. Alas, we are getting on in years. We’re
a much smaller group but still endeavor to do some share of
public service and aiding today’s girl scouts wherever we can.
As of today, 12 of the charter members are deceased.
