Marilyn (Mac) Sauer

Mac is a dedicated volunteer who has served in many capacities.
She was a troop leader for 27 years, covering all age levels. She
was an outdoor trainer, coordinator for outdoor training and
Board Member for Lake Erie Council. Her attention to detail
served the Council well when she took the chairmanship of
collections for womens shelters. That very successful service
project raised awareness in the council to the issue of family
violence and led to Mac’s continuing volunteer service to
WomenSafe in Geauga County.

Pamela Schott
Pamela Schott is my mother and was my scout leader from
the time I was a Brownie until I graduated from High School.
Our troop completed the Bronze, Silver and Gold Award. She
is an amazing Mom and was an amazing leader. I couldn’t have
accomplished those awards without her or the support of
Troop #1171. Love you Mom and thanks for everything!

Fred G. Schwab

Fred G. Schwab was an amazing Girl Scout Dad. He led the
frst Sustaining Membership Drive for the Lake Erie Girl Scout
Council. Because of his two daughters, he learned to love
camping. Family Camp at Camp Hilaka was high on the list of
summer vacations. Fred became close friends with other Scout
fathers, and these friendships lasted for many years. He was
quick to lend a hand to help with his daughters’ troop activities
and to support the many Scout projects initiated by his wife,
Doris. Our family will always remember these good times!
