                                FERC: Advisory Committee (AC): Terms of Reference

          1. MEMBERSHIP:
            a. Board/AC Chairperson
            b. Treasurer
            c. Secretary
            d. Scholarship Committee (SC) Officer

            e. Social Media Officer
            f. Sponsored Student Program (SSP) Coordinator(s)
            g. Event Planning Coordinator
            h. Marketing Designer
            i. Thai Liaison Officer
            j. CSR Manager

            k. Webmaster/Website Maintenance Manager
            l. AC members without specific additional responsibilities
          2. PURPOSE: To ensure good governance of the organization and to determine FERC’s strategic
            direction.
          3. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
            a. Review and update the Plan for the Future document of the organization that is consistent
               with  its  Mission,  Vision,  and  Values.  This  regular  review  of  the  Plan  should  ensure  the
               implementation of timetables and targets, etc.
            b. To develop and review policies to guide the everyday work of the organization.
            c. To ensure that the organization develops appropriate systems to manage its work, based on
               the available financial and human resources.
            d. To ensure that the organization is meeting its legal responsibilities.
          4. FREQUENCY OF MEETING: The AC shall meet monthly or as deemed necessary by the AC
            members.
          5. STRUCTURE: The AC meetings are chaired by the Board Chairperson or in his/her absence,
            an AC member nominated by the Chairperson. The AC is a sub-committee of the Board.
          6. REPORTING PROCEDURE: All AC members report to the Board, in writing, on a regular basis,
            as deemed appropriate.
          7. TENURE:
            a. Office bearers e.g. members with specific additional responsibilities will hold office for 3 years
               (dating initially from 01 August 2017).
            b. At the end of each 3-year cycle, all officer positions shall be declared vacant.
            c. AC members may then nominate themselves for the same officer position or for a different
               position.
            d. In the event of more than one nomination for the same officer position, a vote shall be taken
               by the AC members to determine the successful candidate.
            e. In the event of no nomination being received for a particular office, a suitable person will be
               recruited to the AC.
