Dear Tomé Foundation:

I am writing this letter to thank the Tomé Foundation, Inc. for the scholarship that I have received.

I am a first-generation college student that was born and raised in metropolitan area of Detroit—
more specifically, a city called Oak Park, Michigan. Starting from very humble beginnings, I am
very elated to announce that I will be attending medical school this fall at Morehouse School of
Medicine. I will be graduating in May 2025 with a hope—more accurately, a promise—of matching
into a Family Medicine Residency Program. I also would like to undergo a fellowship in Emergency
Medicine so that I may further help underprivileged and underrepresented communities in any way
that I can.

Mr. and Mrs. Tomé, I am highly motivated and devoted to helping underserved individuals as well
as destitute communities that have restricted access to medical care. I assure you that this
scholarship motivates me to achieve my goals. It only further motivates me to pursue my career
goals and my dream of advancing heath equity so that all individuals may benefit. I want to thank
you so much for your generous donation! It is truly a blessing that I will forever for be grateful for.
