Dear Tomé Foundation:

Thank you so much! I am so grateful to have received the Tomé Foundation, Inc. Scholarship.

As a first generation student, there have been several ups and downs, as I navigated my way
through this uncharted territory. Nevertheless, I have continued to work hard towards maintaining
a high GPA and engaging in a variety of activities both on and off campus. I chose to apply to
Morehouse School of Medicine because I admired how they work directly with the community. I
was ecstatic to learn that I had been accepted, and now it is an honor to be recognized for my
accomplishments through receiving this scholarship. This will take a significant financial burden off
of my shoulders and allow me to devote more time to my studies.

I look forward to completing my education at Morehouse School of Medicine and entering a
pediatric residency program as part of my long-term goal of combating health disparities within
underserved communities.
